Prayer does not use up artificial energy, doesn’t burn up any fossil fuel, doesn’t pollute. Neither does song, neither does love, neither does the dance.

-Margaret Mead

With climate change, toxins in the oceans, and other environmental issues very much on our minds, we can sometimes feel overwhelmed. But let’s not forget the power of prayer, of positive thinking, of joy, and as Margaret Mead suggested—dance, song, the written word, and yes, love. This doesn’t exempt me from being proactive, but I can’t always take to the streets with my banners…but I can always pray; I can always love.
